2026 Orb Scavenger Hunt

The New Fairfield Historical Society is participating in this years Orb Scavenger Hunt sponsored by the New Milford Commission on the Arts and the Merwinsville Hotel Restoration, Inc. Find an orb hidden at the Little Red Schoolhouse and you can keep it. Found orbs should be registered on the Merwinsville Hotel Restoration website https:www.merwinsvillehotel.org and orb pictures can be uploaded there as well.

This year searchers can get a passport and if they visit 15(or more) sites they can mail their passport to the Merwinsville Hotel to be in the running for the one-of-a-kind 250th Anniversary Orb that is on display there. Passports can be mailed to: Merwinsville Hotel, P.O. Box 304, 1 Browns Forge Road, Gaylordsville, CT 06755. Complete passports may also be dropped off at the Merwinsville Hotel during summer hours (Sundays from 2-4pm in July and August). The deadline is September 11, 2026.
