2026 Orb Scavenger Hunt

The New Fairfield Historical Society is participating in this years Orb Scavenger Hunt sponsored by the New Milford Commission on the Arts and the Merwinsville Hotel Restoration, Inc. Find an orb hidden at the Little Red Schoolhouse and you can keep it. Found orbs should be registered on the Merwinsville Hotel Restoration website https:www.merwinsvillehotel.org and orb pictures can be uploaded there as well. This year searchers can get a passport and if they visit 15(or more)

Open House

Join us at the Schoolhouse on July 12th from 1-3pm. Children can help harvest the garlic that was planted last fall. Join us to learn about New Fairfield's history and one room schoolhouses. The Schoolhouse will also be open August 9, September 13, and October 11, 2026.
